Who processes your data
Japla Oy (Business ID 3285028-8), Tuhkanummentie 7, 00970 Helsinki, Finland. For privacy matters, contact us at info@japla.fi or +358 40 938 9795.
Enquiries
When you contact Japla, Japla is the controller. We process your name, contact details and the content of your message to respond and to manage the customer relationship. The legal basis is legitimate interest and steps prior to entering into a contract. Data is kept for as long as the customer relationship requires.
Solutions delivered to customers
When Japla delivers a solution to a customer company, such as site tracking via WhatsApp, Japla processes data on behalf of the customer company. The customer company is the controller and Japla is the processor.
- Name, phone number and role in the company
- WhatsApp messages, photos and receipts the user sends to the service
- Working hours, entries and reports made from them
The data is used only for site records, reports and job tracking. Users are added only by invitation, and a phone number is activated only after the user has accepted the invitation. The service sends messages only to users connected to it.
Where the data is stored
Entries, photos and reports are stored in the customer company's own Microsoft 365 environment. The retention period is set by the agreement with the customer company. Japla does not use the data for marketing or disclose it for any other purpose.
Service providers and transfers outside the EU
The solutions use the following service providers:
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform) to deliver messages
- Anthropic (Claude) to interpret messages
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365) to store data
If data is transferred outside the EU and EEA, the transfer is protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or another basis under the GDPR.

You have the right to access your data, request rectification or erasure, restrict processing and object to it. For data in solutions delivered to customers, we forward your request to the customer company as the controller. You can lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
